Chapter Five - Holi-Daze

Large Version

Small Version
Okay I've dropped behind a little bit on my posting schedule this chapter (and I really need to catch up) so I decided to try a simpler way of doing the strip this time.
Usually I draw each frame individually on a seperate A4 page and put it all together on the computer. Since it takes me about 30 minutes per frame this way I decided to try doing the entire strip on a single page, which took about an hour or so, but of course there's a quality trade-off since the individual fames are drawn a quarter of the usual size. The quality drop is really noticeable on frames 2 & 7 but it's still better than filler so I may use this technique again in the future when I need to.
On a story note:
After a few jokey strips the story has started moving again.

For those who are wondering, night swimming = sex. It comes from a story that director Kevin Smith told about his little daughter walking in on him and his wife having sex, for the full story go pick up a copy of the Evening with Kevin Smith Collection (because I can't remember which one it was in) and enjoy the laughter.
The Slow Ride joke comes from a real life incident, one of my mates took 57 attempts to pass Slow Ride on easy (Guitar Hero 3).

No rest for me, straight into the next chapter.
You guys can look forward to the introduction of more miscellaneous side characters this chapter including one who makes Rick look almost not like a loser. Almost.
I decided to change the girls hairstyles just for the hell of it, unlike the guys who will have the same hairstyles until death or baldness.
There is yet another little obscure anime reference in here but I'll leave it for you to find yourselves.

The End of Chapter Four
This little piece is my tribute to classic robot anime including a subtle reference to Mospeada.

And Mr B.F.M. is victorious.
Like you couldn't see that happening.
On an artistic note, I forgot to convert some frames to greyscale so you can see what I meant previously about the off-white paper. No I didn't leave it on purpose.
On the plus side the paper gouges like crazy so I should be done with the shit in no time.
